Order literature search and guidance

The medical library offers guidance in literature searches, evidence-based practice, EndNote, the National Knowledge Archive (NVA), and other library services, or we can conduct literature searches for you. There is often a waiting time of 1-2 weeks for guidance and literature searches, so please get in touch well in advance. During busy periods, the waiting time may be longer.

Book a consultation with a librarian

You can book a consultation for literature searches on your chosen issue or topic (1-2 hours), or guidance on using the library's services and e-resources, such as EndNote, the National Research Archive (NVA), or Oria. You can receive guidance in the library's premises or digitally via Teams.

Order a literature search conducted by a librarian

If you would like a librarian to conduct a literature search for you, you can request a literature search. It is often wise or necessary to have an initial meeting or conversation to clarify the assignment. Extensive literature searches for various types of systematic reviews (What type of review is right for you - flowchart from Cornell University Library), mini-method assessments, procedures, and similar tasks are carried out according to specific methods by or in collaboration with a librarian. This is often time-consuming, and we recommend contacting us early in the work process to arrange a meeting.

Courses and presentations

We can tailor courses or presentations, at a time and place suitable for your department or group (minimum 3 people), in addition to the courses available in the Learning Portal. This also applies to departments outside Nordbyhagen. Please feel free to send a request to biblioteket@ahus.no
