Package process for clinical studies

Helsenorge.no is the official website for residents in Norway. The content is provided by various actors within the healthcare sector, and it is the Directorate for e-Health that is responsible for the operation and development of the website.

Helsenorge.no/clinicalstudies is intended to serve as a national overview of clinical studies. In this way, patients, relatives, and referring doctors can see and inform themselves about which studies are taking place at each healthcare institution.

To publish a clinical study, a publication template must be completed and sent to the Communications Department at Ahus.

Inven2 is responsible for contract negotiations in clinical studies that are wholly or partially funded by the sponsor, known as clinical commissioned and grant studies. Inven2 also manages the financial oversight of the sponsor on behalf of the hospital, including invoicing the sponsor and disbursing payments to the hospital.

The previous research fund scheme at Inven2 has been discontinued. From 1st January 2019, Akershus University Hospital has taken over the financial oversight of the fund. It is no longer possible to establish new funds.

From 1st January 2019, Akershus University Hospital is also responsible for the financial oversight of clinical commissioned studies and the internal distribution of the income received from Inven2.
