På Ahus ønsker vi å gi alle ansatte et godt og varierende kultur- og fritidstilbud. Vi tror at ved å skape møteplasser hvor ansatte fra ulike avdelinger og stillinger samles til hyggelig samvær, styrker vi samholdet og får et bedre arbeidsmiljø.

Du kan delta i en rekke fritidsaktiviteter og vi har et stort bedriftsidrettslag hvor du finner noe for enhver smak.

Vi har faste tilbud i løpet av året, som jubileumsmiddag, kurs, teater- og konserttilbud, hytteutleie og fordelsavtaler.

In addition to the offers below, as an employee at Ahus, you will receive a range of purchasing benefits and discounts on everything from cinema tickets, cultural and nature experiences to gyms.

As an employee, you can apply for staff housing. The properties vary in size from one-bedroom to four-bedroom flats in blocks, terraced houses, and small houses.

As an employee, you can rent a cabin in Norway or an apartment abroad. Ahus has cabins at Budor, Renåfjell, Skeikampen, Trysil, Fulufjell, Tjøme, Bæreia in Norway, and in Mariestad in Sweden. Employees can apply for cabins on MittAhus.

Ahusrevy1 consists of a group of revue-loving individuals from most divisions and clinics at the hospital who share a common goal of having fun on stage. It is a hectic time at the country’s largest emergency hospital, but that makes it even more important to have a bit of gallows humour and to laugh a little!

Get to know Ahusrevy1

The Ahus Choir is a mixed choir for all staff who enjoy singing and music. Whether you are a complete novice or have sung in a choir before, there is a place for you with us! Membership is free for all staff!

The choir was established in 2009 and is conducted by Rolf Nykmark, who is a trained opera singer, vocal pedagogue, and conductor.

Rehearsal

We rehearse every Thursday in the hospital church in Glassgata at Nordbyhagen from 16:15 to 18:00.

Become a member!

You do not need to be able to read music to join the choir. The conductor creates audio files that you can use to practise your part.
We usually sing in three or four parts.
We have a varied and enjoyable repertoire.

As an employee, you can apply for a place in one of our five staff nurseries. All the nurseries are located in connection with the hospital at Nordbyhagen. Ahus Nurseries

BIL-Ahus offers training in various forms, including football, volleyball, indoor bandy, bowling, climbing, and more. Employees at Ahus can search for BIL-Ahus on MittAhus for more information.

Membership

It only costs 200 NOK per year to be a member of BIL-Ahus.

At the staff entrance at Ahus Nordbyhagen, you will find a small gym with some equipment and apparatus. On the other side of the corridor from the gym, there are some massage chairs that staff can make use of.

Two days a week, salt sessions are organised at Ahus Nordbyhagen, focusing on strength, fitness, and endurance. The sessions are led by experienced instructors. Employees at Ahus can find more information about prices and registration on MittAhus.

Mondays: Strong - endurance and strength

Interval training using body weight. Exercises are based on fundamental movements such as squats and lunges, combined with boxing elements for high-intensity training. The music sets the pace and intensity.
4 - 5 PM

Wednesdays: circuit training - strength and fitness

Intense training with simple, functional exercises and many repetitions. Suitable for most, but it is an advantage if you are familiar with the exercises.

Offers Associated with Ahus Kongsvinger

AKOS Aktiv is a group of engaged employees at Ahus Kongsvinger whose purpose is to organise leisure activities for Ahus employees in the Kongsvinger area.

Employees have the opportunity to participate in yoga classes, padel, ball games, and more.

A gym for employees opened in 2025 and is open from 15:00 to 09:00. Otherwise, the area is used for patient treatment.
