Occupational Health Service

The Occupational Health Service (OHS) shall assist employees, managers, safety representatives, and members of the Working Environment Committee in preventing illness and injuries and promoting health and well-being at Akershus University Hospital HF.

The occupational health service has a free and independent position on workplace environment issues and provides assistance in the following areas:

  • occupational medicine and workplace health
  • occupational hygiene
  • ergonomics
  • psychosocial and organisational workplace environment
  • systematic health, safety, and environment (HSE) work

 

Early planning and tripartite discussions involving the pregnant employee, manager, and company midwife have proven to be effective measures for increasing the attendance of healthy pregnant employees at work.
