LIS1 in the municipal healthcare service

After 12 months in hospital, the LIS1 will spend six months in the municipal health service. As a LIS1 at Ahus, you will have the opportunity for a district placement in the Kongsvinger region, Akershus, or the wild and beautiful Finnmark.

The Whole Patient – in All Stages of Life

As a LIS1 in the municipal healthcare service, you will encounter a varied and exciting working day. You will see the full range of general medical issues and meet patients at all stages of life. Often, you will closely follow patients throughout their treatment journey, gaining valuable experience from collaborating with other parts of the healthcare service.

LIS1 Positions in the Municipalities

Ahus currently has agreements with the following municipalities in the Kongsvinger region: Eidskog, Grue, Kongsvinger, Nord-Odal, and Sør-Odal. In addition to Nes municipality in Akershus and some municipalities in Upper Romerike.

Ahus has seven positions for LIS1 in Finnmark. Two of the positions are in Måsøy municipality, while the last four positions will be advertised with unspecified municipalities. The municipalities are primarily in West Finnmark. You will receive information about which municipality you will be assigned to, along with other relevant information, at a later date, but well in advance of the start date. The start date is 1st March or 1st September. During the interviews and the selection of candidates for interviews, representatives from the municipal chief medical officers in Finnmark will be present. The municipal chief medical officer has a double vote in the selection process.

You will complete the LIS1 service in one of the following municipalities in Akershus: Aurskog-Høland, Eidsvoll, Enebakk, Frogn, Gjerdrum, Hurdal, Lillestrøm, Lørenskog, Nannestad, Nes, Nesodden, Nittedal, Rælingen, Ullensaker, Nordre Follo, and Ås.

Doctor in training (LIS 1)

The specialist training for doctors at Ahus has a three-part LIS1 service with practice in the Surgical Division, Medical Division, and Division for Mental Health Care. The start in the clinic is on 1st September and 1st March each year.
