Research groups

A research group consists of members from various departments in the hospital and may have associated external members.

All research groups have a leader, who is usually a professor or senior researcher with a permanent position at the hospital or the University of Oslo. The leader has academic responsibility for the group's project portfolio, develops long-term objectives, and contributes to:

  • developing new project applications
  • establishing contacts with regional, national, and international environments
  • making the project's results visible and promoting them
  • creating meeting places for the members of the research group
  • collaborating with related projects
