All research groups have a leader, the research group leader is usually a professor or senior researcher with permanent employment at the hospital or the University of Oslo.
The manager has professional responsibility for the project portfolio in the group, preparing long-term objectives and contributing to:
- prepare new project applications
- establish contacts with regional, national and international environments
- make the project's results visible and profiled
- create meeting places for the members of the research group
- collaborate with related projects
