If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please contact the department where you have your appointment via on helsenorge.no.

Please contact the department as soon as possible.Cancellations must be made no later than 24 hours before the appointment starts. If you have an appointment on a Monday, you must notify them by the Friday before. If you fail to attend an appointment or cancel it, you will be charged a fee (read about fees on helsenorge.no).

Call 113 (ambulance) if you are very ill or seriously injured

The phone line is open 24 hours.

When you call, you must say:

  1. Where is the person located (the address is important)?
  2. What is the problem?
  3. Is the person conscious and able to speak?
  4. Is the person breathing normally?

You must remain calm and answer questions. You must do what you are instructed to do.

Call your GP if you are unwell

If you are unwell but can wait a few hours or days.

You have the right to see what is in your patient record and to obtain a copy of all the documents in the record. You also have the right to receive a log of who has accessed your record. See how you can gain access on the page below:

Access to your own patient record

Have you received an invoice from Ahus and have questions or wish to complain? Then you must call the number listed on the invoice. If you are unable to call, you can contact us at postmottak@ahus.no.

Remember to include the invoice number and department in the subject line, so that it is forwarded correctly. You must not include sensitive information or health details in the email.

​Regular email has many weaknesses that can lead to confidential information being compromised.

Therefore, you must not send emails containing sensitive personal information (such as details about your illness, diagnosis, and your national identification number) or any other information subject to confidentiality.

Unfortunately, we cannot respond to personal medical questions via email.

Remember when sending an email!

  • Provide your full name and postal address, so that we may respond by letter in cases where we cannot answer the inquiry via email.
  • Provide your telephone number, so that we can quickly contact you if we need further information.
  • Specify which clinic and department (treatment location) your inquiry pertains to, and also mention which person/healthcare professional you have been in contact with, so that we know who the correct recipient is.
