Helsetjenesteforskning (HØKH)

Helsetjenesteforskning er et bredt sammensatt felt. Vår forskning konsentrerer seg om problemstillinger knyttet til pasientbehandlingen innen spesialisthelsetjenesten og på tvers av forvaltningsnivå, og belyser tiltak for pasienter med store og sammensatte behov.

Vår forskning tar opp sentrale temaer som organisering, samhandling, finansiering og ressursanvendelse i helsetjenesten, modeller for simulering av pasientenes bevegelser gjennom helsevesenet, samt klinisk kommunikasjon; - muntlig dialog mellom helsepersonell og pasienter i behandling og pleie.

De fleste problemstillingene vi jobber med krever tverrfaglig innsats. HØKH besitter bred og variert kompetanse. Det inkluderer informatikk, statistikk, matematikk, epidemiologi, sosiologi, kjønnsteori, sosialantropologi, pedagogikk, samfunnsøkonomi, samfunnsmedisin, allmennmedisin, fysioterapi, sykepleie, psykologi, psykiatri, nevrologi og indremedisin.

I vår forskning prioriterer vi temaer der det er behov for mer kunnskap om konkrete resultater av virksomheten. Det teoretiske grunnlaget og den metodiske tilnærmingen i de ulike studiene er bestemt av de problemstillinger som belyses, og inkluderer både kvalitative og kvantitative metoder. 

Årlig publiserer vi mer enn 60 artikler og fullfører mellom en og fire doktorgrader. De senere årene har vi mottatt nærmere 80 millioner kroner i eksterne forskningsmidler, og mer enn 50 prosent av forskningen er finansiert ved hjelp av eksterne midler.
